NAI Fellow Dr. Hari Kalva is Chair and a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at NAI Member Institution Florida Atlantic University. He is the Chair of the Multimedia Systems Lab, which is transforming visual computing through advancing AI-driven image and video processing technologies. The lab’s breakthrough research optimizes video analytics, transmission, and consumption across diverse critical domains: from areas such as precision healthcare diagnostics and medical imaging, to smart embedded systems, advanced public safety solutions, and more! The lab’s innovations have gained significant recognition in the industry, with over 100 granted patents, multiple technology licenses, and wide commercial deployment in consumer devices ranging from televisions to laptops!
